Travel in Asia

Doggie Travel

Bringing a dog from Korea to America is much easier than bringing a dog from America to Korea.

Just the idea of 33 hours of travel makes Eunee exhausted.

Here is what you have to do, We left from Gimhae but I imagine everything is the same through Seoul.

Travel Theme: White

All in the name of peace. We found this cutie in Mui Ne, Vietnam. He was our $5 a day tour guide and showed us a great time on the Red Sand Dunes of the area. We spent the day with him surfing down this amazing desert near the Vietnam coast. You can read more about our trip here.

A Typhoon never stopped us

Last Sunday as Typhoon Sanba was making its way towards Busan, we were invited out for a day of exploration by my students and friends Soon Chul and Elin. Chul picked us up in his very cool hybrid and we headed off to the coast. Taejongdae

Passport Supersized

As we prepped for our next trip at the end of the month I realized that I was running into an issue. My passport was about out of space which could in fact cause an issue. Having less than 4 pages could stop me from traveling in or out of the country and while being stuck on the shores of Boracay seems like a plan to me, Nicole, Eunee and the Baby-to-be thought otherwise.

Featured on prAna.com: Quit, Sell, Pack, Move, Live, Learn & Love

About a week ago I got a message from a staff member that runs the prAna (sustainable clothing) Facebook page and was asked to do a piece for their blog! Being a big fan of the clothing line and owning a some of the gear myself I was honored by the offer. I was asked to write a reflection piece of our travels so far and why this adventure has been key in our happiness and visions for the future.  If you have a moment, check out my addition to their page via the link below! While you’re there, I suggest checking out the convertible pants….awesome.

People who Inspire

I have officially been sucked in to a Bloggers life. Every morning I wake up, make my coffee and jump straight to my reader. I scan through all my topics and browse all of these amazing ideas, incredible places, tons of opinions and well just get lost in how diverse and inspiring everyone is.

Yonggungsa Temple

One of the most beautiful temples here in Busan is the Yunggungsa Temple. I really wanted to surprise Adam with a day trip to some new place. So, I sneakily wrote down the directions (see the post it) but my totally thoughtless self went to take a picture of Adam and well, needless to say he saw the post it and I ruined the surprise and we had a good laugh. (I am really bad at keeping surprises a secret, so we had just been talking about how good I was doing when the post it appeared.

Seeking NON-Touristy Recommendations… Please Help!

We are travellers, not tourists. A ticket in our future always bubbles our blood in excitement!

Adam needs to renew his visa in September and instead taking the hydrofoil over to Japan like he did last time, I mentioned taking a trip. We have been in Asia now for 6 months and not traveled (I know, can you believe it?!?!)

hot damn.
