Photo Walk

Gyeongju Photo Walk

A while ago, I lead a photo walk in the beautiful city of Gyeongju. This was one of my favourite photo walks that I have been on recently. Aside from the horrible traffic that made me extremely late, which is bad when you are the host and the only one who knows where to go. At any rate, the weather was great and we started our walk beginning with the tombs around Daeureungwon and then into Daereunwon itself.

The Shinhwa Photo Walk Review

group

So yesterday turned out to be a little more gloomy than what I was hoping for. It still didn’t stop people from coming out to get some great shots of the area. The interesting part was that we were not the only group out taking some shots. There were a number of Korean photographers about taking different shots of the village and even using some pretty darn expensive gear and a few models as well.

Photo Walk: Ulsan Shinhwa Village

Back in July, Martin Rehder wrote a great article on Ulsan Online about the Ulsan Shinhwa Art Village and I immediately thought that it would be a great place for a photo walk. I didn’t get around to checking the place out until this past weekend and I was pleasantly shocked at how interesting the place was. There were so many little paths leading off the main road that it is a treasure trove of photographic subjects.

South American Flair in Gamcheon

Our Travel Books

A trip to the Gamcheon Culture Village was one of the stranger excursions we’ve undertaken during our time in South Korea. This neighborhood in the west of Busan has dedicated itself to art, with murals, sculptures and installations that occupy entire houses. Visitors are taken on a tour which snakes through narrow alleys and ends at an observation deck with an amazing view over the city.
