Music + Art + Cocktails at Mixture Experiment’s MADCUBE Show

Today I have a really great cocktail bar to share with you nestled down the side streets of Itaewon!  If you are a fan of art, graffiti, rap, skateboarding, and Seoul’s underground scene you will really enjoy the awesome and creative space of  Mixture Experiment!

Halloween at Everland

Did you know that the theme parks in Korea celebrate Halloween now? Yes!!  This Holiday is still a bit new and foreign for most Koreans, but the younger generation has started to take a liking to it for sure. While it is not quite as popular as it is next door in Japan~ slowly, but surely more festivities are being embraced by the public and not just the expat community here♥

Lolita Day ~ Korea’s Lolita Market Event!

Do you love shopping for Korean Lolita brands and other Lolita goodies and live here in Korea or plan on visiting?  Well you are in luck!  Aside from the occasional tea party meetups that are held here, the Korean Lolita community also organizes a biannual market to buy local brands, handmade goods, used items, and even Japanese brands!  The event is called “Lolita Day” and finally after missing the last two events I managed to find out about the latest one so I could attend and share the experience with everyone ♥ Oh yeah~ and shop a little too ^^

Celebrity-Style Wedding at Shilla Hotel

So recently Nara and I were able to attend another wedding here in Korea that we thought was worth sharing with everyone on the blog~  the wedding of Nara’s old classmate Minah and her new husband Seunghun at the extremely high class Shilla Hotel in Seoul!

Beats by Dre VIP party @ Club Eden in Gangnam

Most of my friends back home have pretty awesome jobs, which always makes life interesting!  Over the Summer my lovely friend from LA who works for Beats Headphones got to come to Korea for a few days and work on a promotional event for the brand here.  She was really busy so we only got to hang out with her briefly outside work, but lucky for Nara and I we were able to get access to a few Beats VIP events going on around Seoul for the weekend so we could creep on our friend while she worked ♥

Seoul Doll Free Market #47 (image heavy)

Do you love collecting BJD (Ball Jointed Dolls) or other collectable fashion dolls like Blythe, Pullip, Etc? Well if you live or are visiting Korea they have a convention just for you~ “Doll Free Market”!   Over the summer I attended a smaller spin-off doll convention here in Seoul, but I was told that this one was the main event here so I waited till the next one came around so I could see if for myself and share the info with you guys!

Cafe Pawz 카페 포우즈 ♥ Gangnam Dog Cafe

So now after having visited Korean Cat Cafes on several occasions, I realized I was forgetting all about another popular pet cafe style here in Seoul~  Dog Cafes!!  Yes, that is right ♥ Just like with Cat Cafes, you can visit Dog Cafes here in Korea and play with puppies to your hearts content.

Daily Cuteness with Milk the Kitty ♥

So I have not posted any photos of my kitten “Milk” for quite some time~ so I thought I would just share a few ^^

I live by myself and Nara works all day, so home alone without close friends here gets very lonely~ I am so happy to have this little guy! My two girl cats back in the USA are sweet, but Milk is a total baby and lap warmer~  he must be by my side at all times and sleeps at the door when I leave T_T it is so cute.

Olympic Soccer ♥ Korea VS Japan live at Seoul City Hall!

As we all know, this year was the 2012 Olympics in London!  During the last winter Olympics I happened to be in Korea and remembered how INTO the games the country got, you really feel the pride and unity all over the country when these sorts of things go on because Korea is quite small and hungry to win! One game Koreans get very excited for is soccer, and one thing Koreans get RABID excited about is playing against Japan… so when Korea and Japan Men’s Soccer made it to the finals to compete for the bronze medal I knew we had to go out and mingle with the crowds vs stay at home while Nara screamed at his TV all night lol.

The game was set for 8/11/2012!
