Candidly Kate: Feeling Seoul Unsettled

It’s been two and a half weeks since I boarded the KTX and moved my life up to Seoul from Busan.  To say that the transition was a bumpy ride would be an understatement, but I’ve had a lot of support from my parents, my friends back home and in Busan, as well as new friends and colleagues (not to mention superiors) who have helped in many ways (most notably cracking the whip on my landlord to fix my water as well as getting me a sweet new armoire).

Monitoring Seoul

Korea is slowly but surely opening up itself to the world. Always belittled by the giants of China and Japan, Korea is blossoming into the world bearing its own unique scent. With the electronics and automobile biggies Samsung, LG, Hyundai leading the way, the Koreanisms have reached far and wide. The Korean dramas are extremely popular with the younger generation in China and India, with many of them translated even into the regional Indian languages. K-POP is widely loved and is again quite catching.

Days off!

Yesterday May 1st was Labor Day over here and even thou I didn't have the day off, I ended up having a great time^^

Kiki and Julian are always fun to be around and after my time with them, it was time to meet my sis and our Baby Bro to do some bowling.

Baby bro invited a friend, we have met him twice before and it was always VERY awkward, I thibk his time at the Army affected him a little bit too much, but he keeps on wanting to meet us and he claimed he missed us lol.

Mexican Food in Seoul

Hey everyone!

It's time to talk about one of my favorite things ever.... Mexican Food!, funny how I used to write about Korean Food in Mexico and now I'm doing the opposite.

3 months ago I left Mexico, I've never been away from my home-country for so long, surprisingly, what I miss the most is the Food, you can say I'm food-homesick?, almost 2 years ago I posted "My 12 reasons to visit Korea" and 1 of them was eating Mexican food in Korea, so, of course when we decided to spend some..."more" time in Korea I knew we would be definitely doing it.
