Vlog Entry #16: Beaches, Boats and Bikes in Thailand

I finally got around to stringing together the footage from my 10-day trip to Koh Lanta and Bangkok this past February! From the beautiful beaches, to the beat-up boats, to the bumpy bicycle rides, Thailand was full of character and adventure!

Under the Andaman Sea: Snorkeling in Koh Lanta & Koh Phi Phi

I just got back from an awesome 10 day getaway in Thailand, part of which I spent hopping between some small islands near Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi. In addition to swimming through a cave and lounging (in the shade) on white sandy beaches, I also did some snorkeling! While it may not be the most amazing snorkeling footage ever, it was still fun to play around with the GoPro!

P.S. Can you spot the Finding Nemo reference near the end of the video?

Two weeks, two Thailands. Part 2: Phuket and Koh Phi Phi

Following our initial stint in Bangkok, we boarded an internal flight to Phuket. We would spend a week divided between Thailand’s largest island and one of the many others that are found in the Andaman Sea, Koh Phi Phi.

Our stay in Phuket began in frustrating fashion. The airport transfer should have taken about an hour. We opted to join a small minibus that would go to anywhere within three main beach areas; Patong, Karon and Kata. To our dismay our fellow occupants turned out to be some ignorant French people, an older couple who didn’t know the name of their hotel and another couple who thankfully possessed some common sense and more local knowledge than our driver. To cut a very long story short, we were the last ones to be dropped off. Three hours later.
