How to Enjoy Spring in South Korea

After a long winter, spring has finally sprung here in Seoul. But it won't last long so be sure to get out and enjoy it while it does. Here are a few of my favorite springtime activities to partake in here in Seoul. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy them just as much as I do!

See the Cherry Blossoms

Perhaps no other symbol is as representative of Korean spring than the cherry blossom. And while they might not stick around for an extended amount of time, they are most definitely a sight to behold and seeing them in all their glory should be at the top of your travel itinerary.

Hiking through Korea’s Stunning Mountain Scenery

Korea’s mountainous landscape provides some of the world’s best hiking terrain and the views are a definite visual treat for the eyes. Almost 70% of this country offers unparalleled walking routes and along the way you can view cloud-covered peaks, city views and spectacular national parks.

Sturdy hiking boots for women and men will be required on these treks around one of the world’s most beautiful countries.

5 Day Trips from Seoul

Korea is a rather small country. In fact, it's possible to travel from Seoul in the north to Busan on the southern coast in a matter of a few hours by KTX, the nation's high speed train. So technically, any city could possibly be classified a day trip. However, there are a few destinations located particularly close to the capital and are all accessible by Seoul's efficient and affordable subway, making them the perfect day trips to get a feel for life outside the big city. Check them out below.
