Even Hitler needed a vacation!

If Hitler had any chance of living a long, stress free life or losing some of that excess body fat he was carrying around I think he first should have started with a banana for that rage and obvious crash in blood sugar! That’s right, I just made a correlation between Hitler’s quest for world domination and low blood sugar. Hopefully, that has expressed to you the importance of eating right and avoiding sugary snacks that will spike and then crash your blood sugar, making you as crazy as, well, Hitler!

So, RELAX! For those of you teaching in South Korea, summer vacation is just around the corner and it’s the perfect opportunity to regroup and rest.

“Life is like a jungle sometimes…it makes me wonder…how I keep from going under”

Slick Rick put it well. Sometimes the urban routine can get you down. The metaphorical jungle that is a city can be a maelstrom. It can be a cold hard bitch at times (sorry ladies). I have been calling Seoul home for nearly a year, and in that time have found very little respite from the concrete. Most every weekend is spent navigating city streets by bicycle, or wandering clustered markets taking picutres. Thus all the more reason why I so enjoyed a recent trip to explore the nearby coast and mountains.

Wandering to the Beach

6 Mar 2011, My second weekend near the coast of North Carolina and I have got to visit the beach! Thankfully there is a small coastal town right next door in Wrightsville Beach.

Move to Wilmington, NC

27 Feb 2011, I've moved to the coastal port city of Wilmington, NC. No visit to Wilmington is truly complete without first visiting downtown along the Cape Fear River.

Vacation Tips

I meant to throw up another post in addition to this one, but I’ve been far too busy this week finishing up English camp and and preparing to take off for vacation.

My school has allowed me to leave the plantation for a couple of weeks and I’ll be spending that time in Thailand. The cold in Busan has been annoying as of late so the beach and sun will be a welcomed (and much needed) change-up.

모두들 새해 복 많이 받으세요! The new year is just around the corner! I wish you many blessings for 2011!

I never had the chance to do a part II for my blog entry on Jeju Island, so I thought that I would share some pictures that I took at the Teddy Bear Museum there. It's an amazing place, if you like teddy bears. :)
