Hacker Trash

So I have spent the last week or so combing through codes and files on my server to find where the nasty malware codes were hidden. It was an annoying process but I learned a lot and I will share with you my experience. I know that this has nothing to do with Korean Photography but being as everyone that I know takes photos and probably has a blog, this may be useful. Blogs and websites, as you know are all prey for these jerks and the more you know the safer you are.

Things you must know

Korean Bloodsuckers!

I was dreaming about writing this when I heard that all too familiar high-pitched whizzing buzz pass over my ear. I suppose it was an advantage that I got three more mosquito bites after the first one that had woken me from the itching. The extra bites really reminded me of the wonderful times I have had been woken repeatedly in the middle of the night courtesy of a flock of mosquitoes residing in my bedroom.

Yes, summer isn’t summer in Korea until you get your first bite at 2am and spend the next forty-five minutes chasing the tiny black vampire around the bedroom with whatever suitable implement comes to hand. Coming from Ireland, we have nothing like mosquitoes, in fact I didn’t even realise that there were ants in Ireland until last year. Korea, is not so lucky.

H1N1 one year on

It’s almost a year since the H1N1 virus, widely known as swine flu, was the feared pandemic that swept across the world. In North Korea the estimated death rate per infection is estimated as hundreds of times greater than those for South Korea. This glaring example of two extremes owes much to the medical advantage that the south has over the north. What is perhaps even more interesting is that South Korea has been able to gain a measure of infection control better than the UK. (information extrapolated from http://www.flucount.org/ ).
