Gimhae Jungang Presbyterian English Worship is a body of believers from all over the world with different nationalities, gathering together to worship the Lord and Savior Jesus. You're invited to come worship and fellowship with us.

Arirang Traditional Korean Restaurant

Arirang Traditional Korean Restaurant offers a variety of Korean meals including Soondubu (spicy tofu stew) and Doenjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew). Several meal specials are offered, including the Soondubu + Bossam (a meal of cool pork slices wrapped in lettuce and sesame leaves, accompanied by side dishes), for 8,000 won. The portions are very generous and there is a variety of banchan (side dishes) to mix and match with your lettuce-wrapped pork.

초밥속으로 (Into Sushi)

초밥속으로 is a very small sushi restaurant located in the Oedong/Naeoedong area of Gimhae (near the Hanguk Apartments). Owner and chef Yong-gi (English name 'Brave') has a large menu of some of the most authentic Japanese-style negiri (meat, usually fish, on top of a small ball of rice) and hand rolls one will find in Korea. Yong-gi offers both reasonably-priced (7,000-10,000 won for sets of 12 pieces) meals, including miso soup, ginger, pickled onions and soy sauce, to more expensive plates like the "VIP" for 25,000.

LA 북창동순두부 (Dubuhouse)

LA 북창동순두부 (Dubuhouse) is a soondubu chain with many locations throughout the region. This location is in Samgye-dong, accessible via the Presbyterian University stop (No. 20) on the Busan-Gimhae Lightrail.

Many variations of the standard tofu in a spicy peppered broth are offered, including soondubu with a variety of seafood, oysters, ham and cheese, kimchi, curry and beef. Additional meat and fish accompaniments also are offered. Banchan (side dishes) are copious and, with most traditional Korean restaurants, can be refilled on request.

썬양애김밥 (Sseon Yang Eh Gimbap)

썬양애김밥 (Sseon Yang Eh Gimbap) is a small gimbap cafe located near the Highway 58 intersection in Gimhae (about a 10 minute walk from Jungang Hospital and about 5 minutes from the King Suro lightrail station by bus). 

Owner Kim Seon Yang makes some of the fattest gimbap around at very reasonable prices (most cost 3,000 won, which comes with a side of hot soup and as much kimchi, kkakdugi, marinated onions and danmuji as you want from the self-serve station). Other menu items include Tonkatsu (regular, cheese and sweet potato) and bokeumbap.

Khmei (크메이음식점)

Khmei is a Cambodian restaurant located in the "Shinae" section of Gimhae, in Seosang-dong. Cambodian food includes rice, noodles, curries, assorted meats, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, coconut milk and more, with similarities to neighboring countries Vietnam and Thailand. 

Prices at Khmei range from 1,500 won for meat skewers, 5,000 won bowls of hearty soups, to noodle dishes ranging from 6,000 to 9,000 won, to larger family-style meals priced up to 30,000 won. Some items only available on weekends.

Menus are offered in Khmei and Korean only.
